India GST Invoice Template
In India, GST replaced most indirect taxes and registered businesses must issue GST-compliant invoices showing their GSTIN and the tax split. This template defaults to 18% GST — the common rate for services — which you can adjust per the applicable slab (5%, 12%, 18%, or 28%).

- The taxable value and GST (split into CGST/SGST for intra-state, or IGST for inter-state).
Frequently asked questions
- What GST rate applies to my invoice in India?
- It depends on the goods or services and their GST slab (5%, 12%, 18%, or 28%). Most professional services fall under 18%. Set the correct rate in the tax field.
- Do I need a GSTIN to raise a GST invoice?
- Yes. Only GST-registered businesses can issue a tax invoice with GST. If you are not registered, issue a bill of supply without GST.
